The NSPCC’s Foyle Bike Ride will take place in the city on May 25th 2008. The Mayor, Alderman Drew Thompson will start the event with the help of the Foyle Cycle club at 1.30 pm. Registration will be at Sainsbury’s car park from 1.00pm. For details of the route visit - www.foylecycling.net .
The Foyle Big Bike Ride provides you with an opportunity to create a better future for children in a direct and meaningful way... Family cycle travels along the riverside path to the small car park at the Craigavon Bridge then reverse the route (distance circa 2.1/4 miles (3.5k). Route 92 travels along the Foyle Embankment, under Craigavon Bridge, onto the Foyle Valley Greenway to the end where it meets the Ballougry Road and back again, distance circa 11.1/4 miles (18 km).
