Summer Camps

Summer Activities and Camps

Derry City Council will be running a series of Summer Camps for the 2010 Summer season. Camps will take place across the cities leisure centre sites and in various community centres. Specialist Camps in Soccer, GAA and Swimming are on offer.

Or why not try one of the multi sport camps giving you the opportunity to try out a wide range of sports and activities for children of all ages including wall climbing, badminton, tennis, racquetball, orienteering, table tennis and archery.

The Summer Camps are as follows:

Swimming Lessons at Templemore Sports Complex

For beginners and improvers in swimming aged 7 years +. Ideal for those learning to swim prior to going on their Summer holidays.

Concessions

  • £25 per person for other children from same family. This only applies to week 2, 3 & 4.
  • £20 per child attending an extra week. Does not include extra sports pack.

Wildlife & Wellbeing Summer scheme

Dates: Monday 9th August – Friday 13th August
Venue: The Playtrail, 15 Racecourse Road

Activities

An outdoor summer scheme for children aged 7-12 years. Activities will focus on wildlife, environmental issues and outdoor play.

Fun Days Out with the Museum Services

Why not plan a day out or take a tour of one of the city’s Museum.

Visit the award-winning story of Derry exhibition or find out more about La Trinidad Valencera, one of the ships from the Spanish Armada which sank off the North Donegal Coast. Why not also visit one of the city’s other museums – Harbour Museum, Workhouse Museum and Foyle Valley Railway.
