Regeneration

One of the most significant events of the recent past is the completion of the Regeneration Plan, in which Derry City Council has a role in leading and delivering several key work-programmes. This major document is a comprehensive call to action for both Government and all sectors within the City. Its multi-layered approach is driven by a series of catalyst projects, many of which will be led by the City Council.

The Regeneration Plan is being presented to the Northern Ireland Executive as a statement of the City’s intentions for the future. The priorities outlined within the Plan will lever additional resources to drive forward the proposed outcomes in the key target areas.
