Traffic and Travel Info
The organisers of the event have urged the public planning on attending the event to take note of the traffic and travel arrangements. While wishing to minimise disruption and inconvenience to other road users and local residents, it will be necessary to close some roads / traffic lanes in the interests of safety for a short period.
During the procession of the parade the Police will temporarily restrict traffic movement in the vicinity of the parade route, to ensure the safety of the participants. However, the parade will be of short duration (expected to take no more than 10 minutes to pass any point) and any delays are expected to be minor.
The parade route will start at Derry City Council offices, moving down the Strand Road, past the City Hotel and back down along Queens quay back towards the council offices. Come early to ensure that great vantage point!
