City MarketingFund raising is an important element to the Host Town Programme. Each Host Town has to raise the monies in order to host their teams and ensure they experience the best of Irish hospitality.

A fund-raising drive has been in place since August 2002, which to date has raised over £11,000 towards the cost of hosting the team from Argentina. Activities have included an evening onboard The World cruise ship; 5-A-Side Football; Halloween Ball; Christmas Carol Service, as well as various activities undertaken by a number of schools in the area. These include; The Fountain Primary School, Lisnagalvein Primary School, and St Ceclia’s College.

Fund-raising activities have continued and the target has been met.
