District Policing Partnership

District Policing

This section’s role is a consultative, explanatory and monitoring one. Its purpose is to articulate community views on the policing of the district, to contribute to the formulation of policing plans and priorities, to monitor police performance at a district level and to obtain the cooperation of the public with the police and preventing crime, all within the statutory framework of the Police (NI) Act 2000.

Community Safety

This is a new Council function that will enable Council to engage in community safety initiatives and activities within the parameters of a Community Safety Partnership.
