McDonald’s ‘Just Bin-it’ Campaign

An example of just one of the community/business and local authority partnership initiatives would be the `Just Bin It’ Campaign where Derry City Council teamed up with McDonald’s and local; Primary Schools to continue
clean-up projects in the City.

In a unique partnership, `hit-squad’ teams with staff from McDonald’s, pupils from Rosemount Primary and Ebrington Primary Schools and Council representatives rolled up their sleeves recently to blitz litter on both banks of the river, segregate it and recycle as much materials recovered as possible.

The makeover is a flagship project in McDonald’s `Just Bin It’ Campaign, which is running across the UK with the backing of the Department Of The Environment, Food and Rural Affairs.
