Ditch the Car During Mobility Week and Help the City Secure Mobility Award!
A programme of activities aimed at encouraging the public to consider using alternative modes of transport are being organised by Derry City Council during European Mobility Week, to be held this month.
The programme has been put together in partnership with Sustrans, with support from DRD – Roads Service/Travelwise NI, Western Health & Social Care Trust, Derry Healthy CitiesIlex, DSD (NWDO) and Translink, in an effort to secure European Mobility Week Award for Derry/Londonderry and receive a formal recognition for our efforts. The programme, which includes a “In Town without my Car Day”, a series of Dr Bike Clinics, walk and cycle initiatives and bike hire schemes, will take place during European Mobility Week from 16 to 22 September.
