Traffic, Car Parking and Event Information
The Family Friendly Alcohol Free Zone will include the following areas for
the 2008 event. It will start at Fletcher Avenue continuing along the Foyle
Walkway along the Quay through the Council and DOE Car Parks to the City
Hotel.
There will also be an Alcohol Free Zone which will include the following areas: Guildhall Square, Waterloo Place, Strand Road Pedestrian Zone, Guildhall Street, Custom House Street, Lower Magazine Street and Union Hall Place.

Fireworks Pedestrian Areas: Please note that this years Fireworks display will be moving slightly down towards the Queen’s Quay area (see map). Please note his may affect traditional vantage points.
Emergency route will be coned and signed with “Parking not permitted” enforced by PSNI.
Taxis – the Taxi Association will operate from temporary taxi stands: Orchard House and the Diamond. Black Taxis will operate their normal weekday service.
Westbank Car Parking: Bridge Street, Foyle Road, Foyle Valley Railway, Foyleside East and West, Lawrence Hill, Magee Campus, Quayside, Society Street and William Street.
Foyleside East and West Car Park will close at 11.30 pm
Eastbank Car Parking: Alfred Street, Bond’s Hill, Distillery Brae, Railway Station, St Columb’s Park including all weather pitch, Simpson’s Brae, Spencer Road and Waterside Health Centre.
Disabled Access: there will be a section for use at the stage. Drop off point is lay-by adjacent to stage.
First Aid: temporary First Aid unit will be located at the Foyle Street Car Park and Ambulances will be situated at the City Hotel, Lower Clarendon Street and Council Offices.
Meeting point: signed for Council Offices, Strand Road and Kings Link Roundabout.
Public toilets: Car Park at Council Offices, Strand Road and Guildhall Street.
