Travelling to the Race

By Road

From Dublin
From Dublin take the M1 to Belfast. Take the turn off for Ardee and continue on the N2 to Derry. This will bring you through Carrickmacross, Castleblaney, Monaghan and across the border into Aughnacloy. Continue on the A5 to Omagh and Strabane arriving into the city at the junction for Craigavon Bridge. Go straight through this junction and straight through next roundabout (Duke Street roundabout). Continue towards the Waterside roundabout, ensuring that you are in left hand side lane (Limavady/ Coleraine signpost). Follow Limavady Road until you come to a large roundabout (Caw roundabout), take second exit towards Limavady/ Coleraine on Clooney road. Take the first exit off the next roundabout (Gransha Park roundabout) into the Gransha Grounds.

From Belfast
The M2/ A6 runs directly from Belfast to the city. En route you will pass through the Glenshane Pass, Dungiven and Drumahoe on your journey. At the Altnagelvin roundabout (the first roundabout you will encounter on entering the city), take the 3rd exit onto the Crescent link. Travel along this road until you approach another roundabout with a retail park on your right hand side; travel straight through towards Foyle Bridge/ Caw Roundabout. At Caw roundabout take the last exit off the roundabout towards Limavady/ Coleraine onto Clooney Road. Take the first exit off the next roundabout (Gransha Park roundabout) into the Gransha Grounds.

From Galway/ Sligo
From Galway take the N17 north to Derry (via Sligo). From Sligo follow the N15 north bypassing Bundoran, Ballyshannon and Donegal town. Follow road to Ballybofey through Barnesmore Gap. At Ballybofey/ Stranolar take N13 to Letterkenny. On approach to Letterkenny (down steep hill), take last exit following signs to Derry. Continue on this road until you reach Bridgend. From Bridgend follow road into Derry, go straight through Branch roundabout and continue through traffic lights to Pennyburn roundabout, taking first left. This road will lead you uphill until you come to another roundabout – take last exit over bridge following sign posts to airport. At the end of the bridge take the first exit off Caw roundabout towards Limavady/ Coleraine onto Clooney Road. Take the first exit off the next roundabout (Gransha Park roundabout) into the Gransha Grounds.

By Train
There is a train service from Belfast to Derry/ Londonderry, therefore from Dublin it would be necessary to change in Belfast before continuing on to the city.

By Plane
