Loughs Agency – Sail in the City! *
Saturday and Sunday, May 21 - 22, 11.00am – 5.00pm

Enjoy the thrill of sailing with the Loughs Agency! A Sailing School has been established on the River Foyle in partnership between the Loughs Agency and Ocean Youth Trust Ireland.  This RYA training centre will be offering sailing ‘tasters’ onboard high performance keel boats. Take a trip on the Foyle and learn a little about the river – and about sailing!

Minimum age 14 years and under 18 year olds must be accompanied by an adult. Buoyancy aids provided! Get your ticket from the Foyle Days Information Desk.


 

Foyle Biodiversity Boat Trail *
Saturday, May 21, 12.00pm – 5.00pm

Come aboard the Sarah Mary III to experience the Foyle from a new perspective. Take in the spectacular scenery, with Derry City Council’s Biodiversity Officer, who will provide a guided tour of the Foyle and its wealth of habitats and species. Look out for otters, seals and birds of prey!

A maximum of 15 passengers per boat excursion and all children must be accompanied by an adult. Tours will run at 12.00am, 12noon, 1.00pm, 2.00pm, 3.00pm, 4.00pm and 5.00pm. Tickets will be available from the information desk.


 

Foyle Paddlers *
Saturday and Sunday, May 21 – 22, 11.00am – 5.00pm

Foyle Paddlers A favourite of Foyle Days is the supervised canoeing. Get on the water and give it a try. Sampler sessions will run at 11.30am, 12.30pm, 2.30pm, 3.30pm and 4.30pm. Book your session at the Information Desk.

Foyle Paddlers Canoe Club will also be running two Tuesday evening taster sessions as a follow up to those interested in taking up canoeing.  Check out our information stand or visit our website www.foylepaddlersisfun.net.

Don’t miss the Club’s demonstration at 1.30pm by the Foyle Pontoon.

*All taster sessions can be booked at Information Desk. Booking is essential, so come early to avoid disappointment!
