Is Derry twinned with any other city or town?

While Derry is not twinned with another city, it has relationships with cities such as San Jose, Boston and New York based around economic and inward investment opportunities. The City has similar relationships with other towns and cities throughout Ireland the UK and Europe.

How many people are employed by council?

Currently Derry City Council employs over 500 people.

Who owns the City Walls?

The Honourable Irish Society own them and the DoE maintain them.

Christmas trees can be taken to any of the 5 civic amenity sites - Brandywell, Pennyburn, Glendermott Road, Eglinton or Claudy.
