10.00am        Free Derry Tours

Featuring an explanation of the famous Bogside Murals and the authentic history of the Bogside area by those who helped shape it.  Tours depart from the Museum of Free Derry. 

Price: £5.00 per person. Group and concessionary rates available.

 

11.00am        Tower Museum

Visit the Story of Derry exhibition and see the history of the city come to life!  Guided tours available.

Admission: Adult £4 Child/Concession £2.50/ Family £9 (2 adults & 3 children)

 

12.00pm        Museum of Free Derry

Learn about the people’s story of government oppression, the struggle for civil rights, the Battle of the Bogside, Internment, Free Derry and Bloody Sunday. 

Admission: Adult £3.00, Concession £2.00

 

1.00pm          Lunch

Take time out to satisfy your appetite by sampling the local cuisine at one of the city’s many pubs, restaurants and cafes.

 

2.00pm          A Cultural Experience Tour by City Tours

A  Cultural Experience Tour by City Tours View the murals from the City Walls and learn about the impact emigration, the siege and modern political history have made in shaping the city as we know it today. Departs from Tourist Information Centre.

Price: £4.00 per person – group rates available. 

 

3.00pm          Tours ‘n Trails Walking Tour

Join the friendly Tours ‘n Trails guides on an enlightening and entertaining walking tour exploring the city’s history and culture. Departing from Tourist Office

Price: Adult £5, Conc £3, Family £15

 

3.30pm          Visit St Columb’s Cathedral

Explore the oldest and one of the most historic buildings in the city.  The cathedral also houses a range of artefacts from the Siege of Derry in its Chapter House Museum.

Admission:  Free. Donations welcome

 

4.00pm          Bogside Artists’ Tour and Presentation

Bogside  Artists A unique and specialist tour including a chance to see the murals with the artists who painted them. Finish with a visit to their People’s Gallery for a DVD presentation and question and answer session.

Admission: £5 per person for tour, £5 per person for presentation, £9 for both

 

8.00pm          ‘The Earl of Greencastle’ at The Cairn Theatre, Greencastle, Co. Donegal

Learn of forbidden romance, tragedies and revenge and discover the story behind the skeleton on the Derry Coat of Arms.
Visit The Cairn Theatre, Greencastle and see this original musical by The Cairn Theatre Group. It brings to life the story of Norburgh Castle and the De Burgh family through Song Story and Irish Dance
