Parks The city boasts a variety of beautiful park areas. Why not go for a picnic or a stroll in Brooke Park in the city centre or try the new play area at St Columb’s Park in the Waterside area of the city? Visit the Tourist Office for more information on the parks.

Visit Lisnagelvin Leisure Centre and enjoy the superb leisure pool with water based children’s adventure play area and real waves! There’s much more on offer to keep grown-ups happy too!

1.00pm          Visit the Armada Exhibition at the Tower Museum

Visit and explore the fun interactive Spanish Armada Exhibition at the Tower Museum

2.00pm          Mock Archaeological Dig

Archaeological Become an archaeologist at the Tower Museum this summer and take part in a mock archaeological dig. Takes place every Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 2pm. (no extra cost to museum admission)

2.00pm          Summer Activities at the Central Library

Activities A fun-filled hour of storytelling, quizzes, craft sessions and much more. Suitable for children aged between 4 – 12 years.

3.00pm          Visit Foyle Valley Railway Museum

This museum is a must see for all families this summer. There is a children’s play area as well as the chance to have a look at the trains on display.

4.00pm          Pedal Boating at Creggan Country Park

Take a relaxing pedal boat trip in beautiful surroundings, only 5 minutes drive from the City Centre.  Suitable for all ages.  Advance booking recommended. Other outdoor activities available
