See the city’s sights onboard a tour bus with live commentary. Departs from Tourist Information Centre with a pick up at the Guildhall.

11.15am        Walking Tour of the City Walls

Walking  Tour of the City Walls Hear about the symbolic role the city played during country’s mass emigration during the eighteenth and nineteenth century. 

Price: Adults £6.00, Concession £5.00 Children £4.00 Family rate – 2 adults & 2 children £18.00.  Group rates available.

 

12.00pm        Visit the Workhouse Museum

The Atlantic Memorial Exhibition deals with the extensive role that the city played in the Battle of the Atlantic during World War II. Also find out about life in a Victorian workhouse and learn about the plantation of Ulster with the Ulster Scots Agency’s interactive kiosk.

Take time out to satisfy your appetite by sampling the local cuisine at one of the city’s many pubs, restaurants and cafes.

 

1.30pm          Visit the Tower Museum

Visit the Tower Museum This newly refurbished museum now houses two state-of-the-art exhibitions, including the Story of Derry and An Armada Shipwreck – La Trinidad Valencera exhibition.  Guided tours available.

2.30pm          Visit the Harbour Museum

Visit the Harbour Museum An eclectic collection of objects is on display showing the city’s maritime connections from architectural drawings, early maps and plans of the city to archaeological finds.

3.00pm          Feeding time at the Lough’s Agency

 Feeding time at the  Lough’s Agency Come and meet some local species of fish and shellfish at the Lough’s Agency feeding time!  Experience the wonder of nature at the Riverwatch Visitor Centre and learn about the local environment through wonderful displays and fantastic local video footage.  The Riverwatch mini aquarium gives visitors an extraordinary window to a fascinating underworld. (NB: Feeding time takes place at 3pm every Wednesday and Saturday also.)

4.00pm          Pedal Boating at Creggan Country Park

Take a relaxing pedal boat trip in beautiful surroundings, only 5 minutes drive from the City Centre.  Suitable for all ages.  Advance booking recommended. Many other outdoor activities available for the whole family.
