Derry City Council Community Safety Partnership (CSP) was formed in June 2003 following the Review of the Criminal Justice System in Northern Ireland (2000). The CSP was established to co-ordinate, develop and review, across different agencies and communities, practical and innovative approaches to crime reduction and enhanced safety as part of a multi-agency approach to promote the benefit of the inhabitants of the council area and the environment in which they live. A list of members is also attached.

The Partnership has just produced their first Community Safety Strategy for the council area. The have been allocated £237,761 from the Community Safety Unit to assist in the development of action plans for the period April 2006 to March 2008.

Action Plan

Following Derry City Council's Community Safety Stratedgy 2005 - 2008, an Action Plan for 2008 - 2011 was developed on the NIO directive covering their three main themes which are:

1. Anti-Social Behaviour
2. Violent Crime:
3. Fear of of Crime/ PR & Awareness
