Grant Aid
Derry City Council Grant Aid programmes aim to encourage and facilitate activities which enhance and develop the Derry City Council area and improve the quality of life for its citizens. Funding opportunities
Three main types of funding exist:
- Service Level Agreements.
- Main Grant (Projects up to £5000)
- Support Grant (Projects up to £1000)
Applications – Key Points to Note
- Applicants must clearly indicate that their application is made on behalf of an organisation which benefits the Derry City Council area.
- Council will only award grants to projects which benefit people from within the district council boundaries.
- Applicants can only be awarded funding under one of the available funds i.e. Main Grant Aid or Support Grant Aid.
- Those organisations in receipt of Service Level Agreements from Derry City Council cannot apply for Main Grant Aid or Support Grant Aid.
- Applicants must be a constituted group/organisation, have a list of committee members, produce annual reports or minutes of an annual general meeting and produce audited accounts or records of income and expenditure for grant aid support.
- Individuals are not funded.
