Quality Coaches Quality Clubs
Dear Coach,
Learning and acquiring new knowledge is an essential element in the development of any sports coach. In an ever changing sporting environment it is important that those involved in coaching and volunteering stay up to date and continue to deliver relevant and safe practice. Continuous professional development is important for any coach regardless of skill or experience level. With this in mind the Local Authority Sports Development teams and Local Sports Partnerships across the North West have been busy working to finalise Coach Education programmes, ensuring the coaches across the region can be up-skilled. The link below allows you to gain information on a wide range of training and development opportunities which will interest a variety of people from the novice volunteer to the master coach. I’m confident you can find a course or training opportunity that will support your personal development.

Good Relations in Sport Resources for Coaches
Sport can be an extremely effective tool for developing good relations. It has the power to promote integration, encourage diversity and transcend religion, beliefs and languages. To support coaches on the ground resources have been developed as part of the NW Leisure and Sport programme. Educating coaches on how they can deliver good relations via their coaching sessions has been a strong focus of the project and due to this the following resources have been developed:
- Coaching Manuals (Good Relations Guidelines for Coaches)
- Practical Good Relations Workshops
- Accredited Good Relations in Coaching Module
