PRESS RELEASEDeadline reminder for Public Questions for District Policing Partnership27th October 2003Chairman of Derry District Policing Partnership (DPP), Cllr John Kerr has reminded the public that the final date for questions to be submitted for the next open meeting of the Derry DPP is Thursday 30th October at 12 Noon. Cllr Kerr said, “The questions submitted present an opportunity for the public to raise questions regarding police performance and policing issues for their area. They also create an opportunity for the community to engage in policing matters. “The Derry DPP are committed to actively shaping the policing plan for the district by effective monitoring and prioritising of policing issues on behalf of local communities. The questions reflect the communities views on issues and are an important way of informing the priority issues and bringing change to policing in our area.” The public are reminded that all questions must be submitted in writing to the Secretary of the Derry DPP, Council Offices, 98 Strand Road, Derry, BT48 7NN. All questions for consideration must be submitted before Thursday 30th October at 12 Noon. The third meeting in public of the Derry DPP will be held on Monday 24th November at 7.30pm in Eglinton Community Hall, 40 Main Street, Eglinton.
