Schools enjoy Ghoulish Fun and Games

With the Hallowe’en spirit gripping the city almost 500 children from schools around the City are currently attending the Hallowe’en schools programme, which has been organised in the Workhouse Museum and Central Library as part of this year’s Banks of the Foyle Hallowe’en Carnival celebrations.

Staff at both the Workhouse Museum and Central Library have put together a fantastic programme featuring traditional Hallowe’en games, together with some ghostly characters who will be regaling children with some spooky stories especially for the Hallowe’en period.

Demand each year is huge for the Hallowe’en schools programme with spaces for the tours and stories being filled weeks in advance.

The Banks of the Foyle Hallowe’en Carnival is organised by Derry City Council and is funded by the Northern Ireland Events Company, Northern Ireland Tourist Board, Destination North West, the Department for Social Development, Lucozade Energy, The Star Newspaper together with event partner support from BBC Radio Foyle.
