Press ReleaseMurder at the Museum19th October 2005Looking for a murderous evening in one of the City’s spookiest buildings? This Hallowe’en the Workhouse Museum will host a Murder Mystery night on Saturday 29th October as part of this year’s Banks of the Foyle Hallowe’en Carnival celebrations. Organised in association with the Heritage and Museum Service’s Living History Programme the evening will take the guise of a dinner party in which guests will become embroiled in some sinister goings on when they discover, on their arrival, that the Master has been murdered. Promising a dead-good affair, Ciara McCallion, the Heritage and Museum Service's Living History co-ordinator said, “As guests arrive they will discover that a treacherous act has just taken place and will be called for their assistance in uncovering clues and interviewing potential suspects to reveal the culprit. This will all take place with some plot twisting and of course a red herring or two thrown in for good measure!! “We’re delighted to have the opportunity host a Murder Mystery evening in the Workhouse Museum, which is the perfect venue for hosting such an event. Interest so far has been fantastic so I would advise anyone who is thinking of coming along to book soon as space is limited.” Murder at the Museum will take place on Saturday 29th October at 8.00pm. Tickets are only £16.00, which includes a delicious buffet. For more information telephone the Workhouse Museum on (028) 7131 8328. The Banks of the Foyle Hallowe’en Carnival is organised by Derry City Council and is funded by the Northern Ireland Events Company, Northern Ireland Tourist Board, Destination North West, the Department for Social Development, Lucozade Energy, The Star Newspaper together with event partner support from BBC Radio Foyle.
