Students’ Hallowe’en Carnival!

The countdown is on to Ireland’s most spooktacular Hallowe’en Carnival with a host of events taking place in the city of Derry ~ Londonderry from Monday 25th – Sunday 31st October.

New to the Banks of the Foyle Hallowe’en Carnival this year is the introduction of Students’ Parade on the 31st of October, which has been organised by Derry City Council in association with the University of Ulster’s Magee Campus Students Union.

Sponsored by Lucozade Energy, this spectacle of energy and colour will feature students from all University of Ulster campuses and will leave the UU’s Magee Campus finishing in the Victoria Market Car Park Student Zone, where the party will continue into the evening with a fantastic line up including some of the best up and coming bands in the North West.

Established as the original and best Hallowe’en Carnival this year’s festival will feature events for everyone including the massive free outdoor street party and fireworks on Sunday 31st October.

Other carnival highlights taking place throughout the weeklong festivities will include Ghostbustours, Storytelling, the Guildhall Country Food Fair, scary movies and the St Columb’s Haunted House of Fun. This year’s programme also includes details on events and festivals taking place over this period including the Scary Derry Festival, Féile le Chéile and the Live Sessions music event.

Hotels in the city are currently offering a huge selection of specially priced breaks to suit every budget over the Hallowe’en Carnival weekend with special deals from £65.00 per person sharing for two nights accommodation plus evening meal.
