Press ReleaseMayor welcomes conference on Project Kelvin18th January 2010The Mayor, Cllr Paul Fleming has welcomed the Business Beyond Borders Seminar, which will focus on the ways in which the Project Kelvin connection between Northern Ireland and America will revolutionise business opportunities and cultural links across the Atlantic. The conference will take place on Friday 22nd January 2010 in the Inishowen Gateway Hotel, Buncrana and will pay particular attention to opportunities arising for ICT, digital and creative industries as well green and renewable energies, super E-homes and the ocean marine sectors. “I am delighted to see this conference take place in the region, and I welcome the Canadian Ambassador and Trade Commissioner who are coming here to meet with local businesses. Project Kelvin represents a significant opportunity for the area and I urge as many as possible to attend the conference in order to meet with the delegation who are travelling here”. The Mayor has also congratulated the partnership between Derry City Council, Buncrana Town Council, Donegal County Council and other cross border agencies, for the joint effort that has gone into the organisation of this initiative.
