Press ReleaseTravel Advisory for City of Derry Airport Wednesday 16 & Thursday 17 JulyMonday 14 July 2008: 15:30 hrsCity of Derry Airport will be closed to scheduled and charter flights on Wednesday 16th and Thursday 17th July due to UK Local Government Industrial Action. No local agreement was reached with UNITE union resulting in the suspension of services. City of Derry Airport has provided a customer service line for travel updates at 028 7130 5039. This line open 9.00am - 9.00pm Monday - Wednesday and 9.00am- 5.00pm on Thursday 17th July. Regular information is also available through the website at www.cityofderryairport.com. BA/Loganair has advised that its services to Glasgow and Dublin are
cancelled on both days. BA/Loganair will contact its passengers directly
regarding re-booking. Advise from Loganair for passengers booking for
travel on these dates: People may be re-accommodated -1/+1 either side
of day of flight disruption, into the same booking class. Should the
class not be available, passengers may be booked into the next available
class without applying any upgrade or change fee. Alternatively passengers
may be offered a refund for the disrupted sector, with refund fees to
be waved. All Ryanair flights have been cancelled for Wednesday 16 and Thursday 17 July. The airline will contact all passengers directly to offer refunds or to assist with refund arrangements. It is expected that Ryanair will issue a full statement later today. For further clarification passengers can contact the customer information
