Derry and Donegal public invited to Taster days at the Council Offices

Monday 8th November

The Cross Border Women’s Development Project is organising a series of ‘Taster Days’ in the offices of Derry City Council and Donegal County Council.

The Taster Days are organised to provide members of the public from Derry and Donegal with the unique opportunity to find out about career opportunities available, particularly in non-traditional jobs and to get to know the departments and sites where jobs are located.

There will be an opportunity to meet with staff in the Council departments and an opportunity to attend an information session with tips on how to complete a job application form or develop a CV (Donegal Council only) and prepare for interview. There will also be information available on the services the Councils’ provide and Family Friendly and Work Life Balance Policies.

The first ‘Taster Day’ will take place at the Derry City Council Civic Offices, 98 Strand Road on Wednesday, 10 November from 10 am to 2 pm. The Letterkenny Public Services Centre will be the venue for Donegal County Council on Wednesday, 24 November from 10 am to 2 pm.

The ‘Taster Days’ are open to all women/men in the Donegal County Council and Derry City Council areas. Travel and childcare expenses will be provided.
