Press ReleaseNotice of DPP Public Meeting7th November 2007Date: Thursday 8 November 2007Time: 6.00 pm Venue: Corinthian Ballroom, The City Hotel, Queen ’s Quay DPP Chairman, Alderman Joe Miller is encouraging members of the local community to attend a public meeting being held tomorrow, Thursday 8th November, in the City Hotel at 6pm on anti-social behaviour. Speaking ahead of the meeting the Chairman stated, “Through consultations with the community, evidence shows that anti-social behaviour issues and concerns are a high priority on people’s agenda. In response to this, the District Policing Partnership and Community Safety Partnership are now providing a platform for discussion for local people to express or exchange views on the subject. “This is an opportunity for people to come along and hear first hand from the panel which includes representatives from the police, Fire and Ambulance Services. We will also have spokespersons from the Youth Justice Agency and Derry City Council, and we will hear of their experiences in tackling anti-social behaviour.” The Mayor Alderman Drew Thompson will open the event, commencing with a short drama by young actors from the Playhouse, directed by Brendan Patterson, portraying various scenarios of the anti-social behaviour experience’. The DPP and CSP would encourage and welcome members of the public to come along and have their say as this is an important concern in the community.
