Statement from Mayor Helen Quigley re job changes at the Derry Journal

Mayor Cllr Helen Quigley has indicated she will be seeking urgent clarification from the management of the Derry Journal regarding job losses at the Buncrana Road Offices. She has expressed her concern at the potential impact on the employees and on the city's economy, particularly at this time of year.

"I will be seeking an urgent meeting with Derry Journal management to see what can be put in place to reduce the impact of these changes for all involved. I am deeply concerned about this development, particularly for the staff involved".
