Press ReleaseSearch for 101 Santas in the Tower MuseumTuesday, 04 December 2007As the countdown to the city's 10001 Santas World Record attempt reaches fever pitch, this Sunday 9th December the Tower Museum will be hosting some festive family fun to coincide with the mammoth event. The Tower Museum are hosting an opportunity for families to participate in some additional seasonal fun with their ‘Search for 101 Santas’ day. Margaret Edwards, Education Officer with Derry City Council’s Heritage and Museums service explained. “With the city centre anticipating thousands of children and families as part of the 10001 Santas World Record attempt, the museum are offering the public with the opportunity to avail of some additional family festive fun. “101 Santas will be hidden throughout the exhibition for families and children to find. Once they have found one they will be invited to bring it down to the Tower Museum foyer where a number of facilitators from the Playhouse Theatre will be on hand to help them decorate it. They will also be able to take their Santa home as a Christmas decoration and a memento of their visit to the museum.” The Tower Museum will be open this Sunday 9th December from 11am - 3pm with a reduced admission price of £1 (children free).
