Equality and Good relations training

Time: 9.15am – 4.30pm
Venue:  Shantallow Community Centre, Drumleck
Details: Aimed at local community and voluntary sector and statutory representatives this one day training course in Equality and Good Relations is non-accredited and suitable for those who have not received previous training in equality and Good Relations or those who wish to refresh their understanding and practical knowledge of Equality and Good Relations issues in local context.

The training will include some theoretical knowledge of Section 75 Equality and Good Relations legislation, reflective/interactive activities and prejudice awareness.  It will also offer the opportunity to meet representatives from groups in some of the ‘Section 75 categories’ and discuss ‘real’ Equality and Good Relations issues as they exist in the current local context. 

The training will cover at an introductory level, local issues around religion, gender, sexual orientation, race/ethnicity, age, disability and caring responsibilities.  All participants will receive a certificate of attendance.
