‘CTRIC’
Derry City Council with its partners the Western Health & Social Care Trust (WHSCT) and University of Ulster are working to grow the life and health sciences sector in the north west. In pursuit of this aim, the Clinical Translational Research and Innovation Centre (C-TRIC) is a unique facility, promoting and facilitating translational and clinical research, the primary objective of which is to reduce both the time to market and the costs associated with research and development of innovative health technologies, medical devices and therapeutics. C-TRIC’s unique infrastructure and key support staff facilitate clinical research and innovation, enabling the streamlining of developments from the laboratory to the market place through a focused 'bench to point of care' approach.
Derry City Council is supporting the C-TRIC Programme of support through a 3 year, £250,000 programme of market awareness, business, clinical and research support being delivered in conjunction with WHSCT and the University of Ulster.
