The growth of the creative industry sector worldwide is phenomenal. Driven by the rise of the internet, what was once deemed a ‘high barrier to entry’ sector is now increasingly accessible. Film, video, animation, computer gaming, music and digital content are all areas of the creative industries that we can all play a part in.
Derry City Council is committed to supporting the drive forward of the Creative Industries it the City.
Our success in becoming City of Culture 2013 opens up incredible opportunities for businesses to develop and grow successfully in the city and access global markets.
Derry City Council through NORIBIC is delivering a programme of Creative Incubation support for small companies in this sector. It aims to provide an instructive, nurturing environment across the city for those in the crucial start up phase. The service is delivered on an individual basis to meet varying needs - support is tailored accordingly to ensure business matters are not forgotten at the expense of creative requirements. The focus of this programme is on:

- Access to financial, legal and HR professionals
- IP support
- Tender preparation,
- Marketing
- Signposting
