To provide a comprehensive support facility for Elected Members to assist them in carrying out the full range of their duties as  Councillors including:

• Provision of administrative and information systems
• Enquiry service in relation to the business of the Council
• Provision of developmental training including IT systems
• Research and library services
• Provision of rooms for meetings/work/interviews
• Processing of allowances
