COACHMARK Derry

COACHMARK Derry is a Derry City Council quality assurance scheme designed to ensure coaches working in sport do so to a required standard. COACHMARK Derry will target local coaches delivering in a range of settings from Sport clubs, Schools, Leisure Centres & Communities.

COACHMARK Derry is a mixture of qualifications, workshop attendance and observation of coaching practice to ensure that coaches are fit for purpose and can deliver well organised, safe, fun, progressive, inclusion and well evaluated sessions to all.
COACHMARK Derry Entry Requirements

To participate in this scheme, coaches must:
- Have a Level 1 qualification in the sport(s) they coach
- Have signed and agreed to abide by a Code of Conduct
- Have an up-to-date Access NI check
- Have attended a workshop on Safeguarding and Protecting Children
- Have an up-to-date Emergency First Aid certificate
All coaches will get ongoing support and help to develop their skills, experience and confidence in delivering coaching sessions.
