Carnival Check list for Parents

• Carnival start: 1.00pm
• Parade start: 2.30 pm
• Carnival ends: 5.00pm

Carnival Route

Departing from Car Park adjacent to Derry City Council Offices on Strand Road the parade will move along Strand Road and into Waterloo Place pedestrian area. Prime public viewing areas are suggested along Strand Road and in Waterloo Place pedestrian area. The parade will finish in Guildhall Square.

Safety Advice for Parents

The St Patrick’s Day Spring Carnival is a special event and should be a fun time for both children and parents. However, there are some safety issues that parents should be aware of to minimise the risks of harm to themselves or their children.
Safety Outside

! Younger children must be accompanied by an adult and parent's of older children should know who they are with and which route they are taking
! Ensure that you and your children are dressed warmly
! Keep a close eye on all children in your care and ensure that you cross roads with care
