Would you like to set up your own eBay shop?

2 Day eBay master class coming in January 2014

Derry City Council’s Business Opportunities Programme are pleased to announce the rollout of an intensive 2 day eBay master class, in association with Michael Hughes Consulting. The workshop is aimed at enhancing sales opportunities for established businesses with an existing online or high street presence.

Michael Hughes, an established eBay trainer, will support participants in creating their own eBay shop during the two day workshop.

The course is designed for those actively selling on eBay but who do not yet have an eBay shop. It is not suitable for those who do not already trade on eBay nor is it suitable for those who already have an eBay shop. Participants will, under the supervision of Michael Hughes, be shown how to build their own eBay shop and will during the course see their eBay shop go live and be shown how to access its functions and how to manage it. Participants will need to be computer literate but will not need to have any html or web building skills.

This workshop is due to take place:
  • Monday 27th and Tuesday 28th January 2014

If you are awarded a place on this workshop you will be required to provide the following by Monday 21st January 2013:
  • Your proposed eBay shop name
  • Corporate colours for your eBay shop
  • Names of shop categories
  • Keywords for search engine optimisation
  • 100 words on the “story” of your business
  • You may also be asked to provide your eBay user id to ensure you meet the criteria set
  • Your logo (this is optional) at 90 pixels by 310 pixels to be uploaded to their shop fronts (this will be equivalent to your shop sign on a high street retail outlet)
Please note that you will need to be in a position to commit to both days of training as this is a mandatory requirement of the master class.

The application form for this has now closed.
