Derry City Council has confirmed its next steps in governance reform at City of Derry Airport. The reform programme recommends the adoption of a holding company structure for City of Derry Airport, 100% owned by Derry City Council, and the commencement of a formal “Market Test” seeking expressions of interest for private investment. Roy Devine – Chairman |
|
| Roy Devine is an experienced company director who has worked as a member of professional boards across a range of business sectors. He is a Chartered Director and currently a Commissioner of Londonderry Port and Harbour Commissioners, Chairman of School Employer Connections Ltd – a not for profit organisation, Non-executive director of OPT2VOTE Ltd and of Biomass CHP Ltd and a Council member of Londonderry Chamber of Commerce. Mr Devine was a former Financial Director of Coolkeeragh Power Ltd and involved in governance change in relation to incorporation and private investment. |

Damien McMahon – Company Secretary |

| Damien McMahon is Derry City Council’s City Solicitor and is Chief Officer of the City Secretary and Solicitors Department. Mr. McMahon is responsible for the provision of legal advice services to the Council, its Departments and senior officers, together with committee servicing, administration and related legal work. He has provided legal support services and advice during the governance programme for City of Derry Airport. |

Paul Byrne |
|
| Paul Byrne is an experienced business representative with previous interests that include corporate banking with specific portfolios in aviation, telecoms and food processing. He was the former Managing Director of Finn Valley Oil and is the proprietor of Radisson Blue Hotel in Letterkenny. He is the current president of Letterkenny Chamber of Commerce presenting business interests for the North West since 2005. |

Joe Campbell |

| Joe Campbell has been the City Treasurer of Derry City Council since 1998 and has functional responsibility for Finance, Human Resources, ICT and Internal Audit and Risk Management. He is currently the Chairperson of the Associaition of Local Government Finance Officers and is also the Chairperson of the Board of Governors of a local nursery school.Prior to taking up his appointment with Derry City Council, Joe held a number of senior financial positions in the private sector. |

Colum Eastwood |

| Councillor Colum Eastwood is the Chair of City of Derry Airport Committee and has been a member of the Airport Committee since 2007. He joined Derry City Council in 2005 and is a member of a range of Council committees. Colum is a trustee of the Bloody Sunday Trust and a board member of various community organizations and the Derry Visitor and Convention Bureau. He also serves as a governor of Hollybush Primary School. |

Albert Harrison |
|
| Albert Harrison has worked with City of Derry Airport since January 2009. He has held senior management positions with TBI Holdings, a global aviation company, including Managing Director of Stockholm Skavsta, Cardiff International Airport and Managing Director of Belfast International Airport. His track record in business growth, revenue generation and management support has assisted many of the airports improve passenger numbers and business performance. He was also Airport Director of Belfast City Airport. Mr Harrison also worked for Cathay Pacific Airways for eighteen years overseeing a material management function with an annual budget in excess of $300m. He also held the position of Chief Operating Officer at Aberties and was responsible for the profitability of nine global airports. |

Joe Miller |
|
| Alderman Joe Miller has been a member of the City of Derry Airport Committee for a number of years. Former Mayor of the city, Alderman Joe Miller MBE was first elected to Council in 1989, holding his seat for the DUP in the Waterside on every occasion since. He now works full-time in the Local Assembly Office. During his time in Council Joe has held many posts and chairs therefore increasing his knowledge and experience of Council business. Joe is a member of a number of Council Committees and a member of various Management Committees for Community Groups, a Board Member of Derry Visitor and Convention Bureau and a member of the Northern Corridor Railways Group. |

Gerry MacLochlainn |
|
| Councillor Gerry MacLochlainn has been a member of Derry City Council since 2000 and a member of City of Derry Airport since 2001. Currently Chair of Derry City Council’s Environmental Service Committee, Cllr MacLochlainn has served on a wide range of Council Committees and public bodies. He has also chaired a number of these including ERNACT (European Region Network for Application of Communication Technology) and the local Public Utilities Committee. He currently represents the City on the North West Region Waste Management Committee. Councillor MacLochlainn, a Maths and Philosophy graduate of the University College of Wales, has a Post Graduate Certificate in Education and Open University Diplomas in Inquiry and Health Promotion. A former Maths teacher, Cllr MacLochlainn has been employed in the voluntary and community sector in London and in Derry. In London he was managing director of an Irish Community Centre and a director of the European Migrant Training Centre based in London. On his return to Derry, Cllr MacLochlainn has worked as a political Advisor to Mitchel McLaughlin, MLA and a variety of voluntary bodies and agencies. He is currently manager of a local Community Centre. |

John Meehan |
|
| John Meehan is the Licensee for City of Derry Airport and Deputy Town Clerk of Derry City Council. He has managed the governance reform programme for City of Derry Airport and has over 35 experience in the public sector. He is current chairperson of the Children’s Commission and Derry Healthy Cities Project and represents Council’s interest on cross border bodies and a series of health and business initiatives. |

Damien Tierney |
|
| Damien Tierney is the Airport Manager for City of Derry Airport. There are 70 staff working at City of Derry Airport with an annual revenue budget of £4million. He has worked with Derry City Council since 1986 and has worked in various roles at City of Derry Airport since 1990. This included Project Manager for the initial £11m ERDT development works at the facility in early 90’s along with responsibility for the executive role in the airport that included administration, marketing and terminal services, including its car park, building fabrication and maintenance, as well as security and concessionary services. A former University of Ulster graduate, Damien has obtained a BA in Business Studies, post-graduate qualification in Management Studies and a Masters in Administration (MBA). |

Valerie Watts |
|
| Valerie Watts is the Town Clerk and Chief Executive of Derry City Council and responsible for a budget of over £35million. She has over 25 years of public sector experience has held various roles in local government in Northern Ireland and in Scotland. Many of these roles were during a period of transition within Local Government and at East Dunbartonshire Council she was responsible for a range of services and budgets with an overall budget of £240 million. Valerie studied part time for a BA in Management at Heriot-Watt University in Edinburgh and over the last two years has attended a series of Management Training Courses at Harvard, MIT University in Boston and at Berkeley and Stanford Universities in California. |
